Dr. Omar Saadani Hassani oversees the coordination and supervision of MBLA’s technical projects, ensuring the efficient management of infrastructure, equipment, and technical resources. He is also responsible for developing and monitoring technical reports in collaboration with relevant teams while strategically supporting partnerships, fundraising efforts, and project development.

 

As the lead of the Agroecology Program, Omar plays a key role in planning and implementing research and capacity-building activities across MBLA’s intervention sites. His passion for working with local farmers has led to the establishment of a robust Farmer Field School program, benefiting hundreds of s of small producers in the High Atlas region.

 

With a background in waste management, biodiversity and environmental conservation, permaculture, and work safety, Omar brings extensive expertise that helps MBLA design innovative grant proposals and community-driven interventions. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Water and Environment Engineering, a Master’s degree in Water and Environment, and a PhD in Biotechnology and Environmental Sciences from Cadi Ayyad University’s Faculty of Science of Semlalia in Marrakech, Morocco.
