MBLA President
In her role as the president of the Moroccan Biodiversity and Livelihoods association, Najwa supports the NGO’s executive team with day-to-day management of internal affairs and development opportunities. She oversees the strategic development and implementation of MBLA initiatives that benefit rural communities, youth, and women.
Najwa has extensive experience working in the conservation sector, particularly with protected areas, areas of high biodiversity value, and communal heritage territories. She has worked with a number of international non-governmental organizations, including Catholic Relief Services and Enda Maghreb, as well as other organizations such as GIZ and UNDP. This provided her with solid expertise and a vast network, which she deploys to advance MBLA’s conservation projects.
She is also the author of « Eduquer par l’Environnement» a guide for managers of protected areas, and «La réalité nationale sur les aires et territoires du patrimoine autochtone et communautaire» Regard sur une réalité complexe », as well as co-author of a guide on collective territory usage « Agir face au changement climatique
